Rural Business Awards Finalists

2nd of July 2018

On 21st of June we were delighted to be shortlisted for the prestigious Rural Business Awards Best Rural Creative or Media-based Business.

The aim of the awards is to give recognition to businesses operating right across the Rural sector, to acknowledge the breadth and depth of opportunity presented by the Great British countryside, as well as to celebrate the achievements of our rural businesses. Voodoochilli were shortlisted in part due to the community work they do which already landed them the FSB West Midlands Community Award earlier in the year. The company is delighted to be recognised yet again for the work they do in the community for businesses and charities around Herefordshire but also to be highlighted and recognised as one of the best rural creative / media based businesses in the region.

The company works closely with a wide variety of other rural businesses including the Ledbury based, national fruit growing company, Haygrove, who launched their new website this month.

Our web project grew enormously over the course of the build and Voodoochilli were extremely accommodating throughout the whole process. Always professional and patient, they helped us deliver a striking and impressive website that is a significant step forward in comparison to what we had before. Tasked with a tricky brief, Tasked with a tricky brief, Harry and his team maintained energy and enthusiasm and made it appear at least, like no request was too difficult. As a global business, we have a lot of people we needed to please with the website and Voodoochilli have helped us achieve this, and in doing so, significantly improved our online presence.”

Ralph Dickinson, Digital Marketing & Communications Manager, Haygrove

A number of Herefordshire based organisations have also been shortlisted and there is even talk of a bus hire since Hereford has performed so well in the awards!

The award, which is sponsored by Amazon, will be judged on the 19th of July with the winners announced on Thursday 11th October 2018 at Eastwood Hall, Nottingham. Winners will attend the national finals on the 28th of February 2019 at Chateau Impney, in Worcestershire.
